Glove Love: Rudolph’s Mitts Go from Scam to Fundraiser
Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph says he was duped in New Orleans by a man with a media credential who asked for his gloves for a charity event.
Rudolph even autographed them and handed them over in the victorious locker room. His touchdown catch in overtime helped the Vikings beat the Saints to advance in the playoffs.
But three days later, Rudolph was alerted to an eBay post that had the gloves selling for $375. He eventually connected with the Vikings fan who bought them.
The publicity has thus helped raise thousands of dollars for an actual charity.
