I am definitely not one to tell you not to shop at Costco.  I actually love my membership, and I do go there at least a couple of times a month.  The same can be said about Sam's Club, we used to have a membership there, but Costco is just more convenient to where we live.  But basically, they are mostly the same.

There are really some great deals that you can get at either warehouse, but here are some things that you should probably avoid at Costco - this is according to Delish

KEVIN'S READY MADE MEALS

i can attest to this first hand. Gross.  And they are not just at Costco.  They are also available at the regular grocery store.  They are tasteless piles of mushy grossness.  I am not a fan, so I absolutely agree with this point in their list.

TOILET PAPER

Now, this is just referrng to the Costco brand toilet paper - Kirkland.  Too thin, use way more than you would with a regular brand toilet paper.  You basically aren't saving any money because you will run through it much faster.  We buy the Charmin.  It is definitely more expensive, but you will usue less.  Or - as the Delish article says, go to Sam's for this one.

SOME FRUIT

I LOVE fruit!  And I have purchased a lot of it from Costco over the years.  But there is one thing I would avoid unless you are planning on eating it right away.  Strawberries. They tend to go bad within like three days.  That might be a slight exaggeration, but only slight.  You wind up throwing most of it out.  Recommendation is to go to a Farmer's Market.  But her in Minnesota, that doesn't always happen through the Winter months, so just check some dates, and go with the smaller option.

CHICKEN???

This one was surprising.  I personally have zero issue with the rotisserie chickens at Costco.  Always been good.  But some people think that the chickens are not quite cooked enough.  A little too pink for some.  Granted, there shouldn't be ANY pink when it comes to poultry.  So, buyer beware, but I've always had good luck.

What else would you add to the list?
