6 Ways to Get Your Green On This St. Patrick’s Day Weekend in the St. Cloud Area
Looking for something to do this St. Patrick’s Day? Whether you are craving an Irish stew, a healthy emerald soup, or a Leprechaun frappe, we did the leg work for your plans this St. Patty’s Day weekend.
Ko-Z’s of Waite Park will be serving a hearty beef stew slow cooked with large pieces of succulent beef, carrots, potatoes and parsnips in a flavorful, thick sauce laced with dark Guinness beer. Served with a baguette perfect for dipping into the rich, thick gravy. Get it by the cup or bowl or pair it with your favorite sandwich, wrap, or grilled Panini.
Quarks American Bento
Quarks American Bento in downtown St. Cloud will be offering a build-your-own soup bowl this St. Patrick’s Day. Their soup starts fresh from their broth -- made from fresh veggies, simmered for an hour, and then seasoned with a pinch of salt. From there, you can choose grains, proteins, fresh veggies, and favorite sauces to create their customized soup creation.
Central Perk Coffee Shop
During the month of March, Central Perk Coffee Shop will have four drink specials that will be offered at discounted price. The Leprechaun Vanilla Frappe, Luck O’ The Irish Frappe, Emerald Isle Coco, and the Joh Joh’s Peppermint Tea will all be offered on March 17th for 25% off. Central Perk will also have their classic reuben on sale for $6.75.
St. Cloud Downtown Art Crawl
This St. Patrick’s Day weekend, this year’s first Art Crawl will be taking place in historic downtown St. Cloud. The art crawl was organized to highlight local artists and support the restaurants and shops of downtown St. Cloud. The art crawl will take place on Friday, the day after St. Patrick’s Day, and will run from 5 to 9 pm. Participants of the crawl include: Jules Bistro, Central Perk Coffee Shop, White Horse, Quarks American Bento, Veranda Lounge and many more.
Jules' Bistro will offering an Irish stew, classic Reuben, an assortment of house made specialty cakes and a O'Dell Run Off Red IPA to celebrate St Patrick's Day and the first art crawl of the season. On Friday, the night of the crawl, their artist Kayla Gehrls will be at the restaurant. Jules’ Bistro has been a part of St. Cloud’s art crawl for 11 years and Jules herself is a founder of the crawl.
Ring of Kerry
Also during this St. Patrick’s Day weekend, an Irish music group by the name of Ring of Kerry will be hitting the stage in Downtown St. Cloud. This five piece band features Celtic sounds from Court Kerry, Ireland and can be seen at the Paramount Theatre on Friday at 1:30 and 7:30 pm. Also hitting the stage on March 18th will be the St. Paul Irish Dancers alongside Ring of Kerry. This show is sure to be an authentic Irish performance.
