The Minnesota Twins (65-78) lost to the visiting New York Yankees 7-2 Monday night at Target Field.

Pitchers controlled things early in the game, with the score tied 0-0 after five innings, but that's when things changed for the worse for the Twins.

The New York Yankees scored one in the sixth, and six more in the seventh -- plating four more runs than they would need to get the win.
