The New York Yankees topped the Twins 10-4 Monday night at Target Field. The Twins scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning but could not hold on for the win.

The Twins led the Yankees 3-1 after one inning thanks to a two-run single from Ryan Doumit and an RBI single from Oswaldo Arcia.

After Robinson Cano hit his second home run of the night to make the score 3-3 in the top of the third, Chris Parmelee homered for the Twins in the bottom of the sixth for a 4-3 lead.

The wheels fell off for the Twins in the eighth inning when Jared Burton surrendered three runs in his only inning of work. The righthander took the loss and is now 1-6 on the season.

The Yankees added four more runs in the ninth inning off of Brian Duensing to take the 10-4 lead that stood as a final.
