The Minnesota Timberwolves were blown out by the Houston Rockets 129-106 Thursday night at the Toyota Center. Wolves center Gorgui Djeng had a monster game with 22 points and 21 rebounds in the loss.

The Wolves got off to a fast start in the first quarter and traded baskets with the Rockets to take a 33-27 lead after one quarter. Minnesota was outscored handily in each quarter thereafter, as they appeared to run out of steam just a night after a 123-122 marathon overtime win in Dallas.

With Memphis and Dallas idle Thursday the Wolves lose just a half game in the standings and are now six games behind the Grizzlies and Mavericks.

The Wolves host the Phoenix Suns in a Sunday matinee at Target Center.
