Brittany and I traveled home this past weekend for marriage counseling and some fun with my family.

Saturday morning started off with Brittany and I attending our first marriage counseling session, which I already have found to be very interesting and helpful... but that was only the start of the day.

After we wrapped up counseling for the day, we headed back to my mom's house and got ready to hit the slopes... by slopes, I mean the biggest hill in my hometown to go sledding on. It only took about 30 MINUTES (almost a new record for getting a 7, 5 and 2-year old in snow pants, boots, coat, gloves and hat) to get everybody ready and out the door and then the fun started.

Everybody was in on the fun, above is Grandma (my mom) with my two-year-old niece who stopped just long enough to get a picture before she was ready to fly down the hill again.

Brittany got in on the fun, my five-year-old niece wanted to take on the "waves" and attempted to plow through the chunks of snow and ice on a rough part of the hill.

And of course the guys were playing too. My nephew found it the most fun to jump on me while already on my way down the hill...

... sometimes that resulted in wipe outs.

It was an extremely good time with everybody and we wrapped up Saturday night with homemade pizza and a movie. Great weekend.
