The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from midnight tonight through 6 PM tomorrow for portions of Central Minnesota including Stearns, Benton, Morison, and Mille Lacs counties.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect just to the south of St. Cloud including Sherburne, Meeker, and Wright counties, as well as the Twin Cites metro.

4 to 7 inches is expected across a large area of Central Minnesota, causing Hazardous travel conditions due to snow covered roads and reduced visibility. Plan for extra travel time,especially for the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Accumulating snow will move into central MN and west central WI by Wednesday morning. The heaviest accumulation will occur in the morning but snow will continue through the afternoon. This will lead to difficult travel conditions for the morning and possibly afternoon commutes.
