The Minnesota Wild (24-9-4) started the New Year with a 5-4 comeback win over the San Jose Sharks (23-14-2) last night in California. Down 4-1, the Wild tallied four third period goals to get the win.

The Wild remain in second place in the Central Division, one point behind Chicago -- but have played four fewer games than the Blackhawks.

The Columbus Blue Jackets saw their winning streak stall at 16 games last night (one short of the current NHL record), falling to the Washington Capitals 5-0.

Next up for the Wild are the Los Angeles Kings Saturday afternoon in L.A. -- then Sunday night in Anaheim to face the Ducks.

Go Wild!
