The Minnesota Wild (31-21-7) trailed the Dallas Stars (27-24-9) 1-0 after two periods last night before exploding for six goals in the third, en route to a 6-2 win at the Xcel Energy Center. The win propels the Wild into the last Western Conference Wild Card playoff spot with 23 games remaining.

The six goals in the third period is a team record for one team. Minnesota is 11-1-1 since the All-Star break.

The third-period explosion of goals came from Parise (2), Koivu, Veilleux, Dumba, and Granlund.

The Wild outshot the Stars 35-20, with Minnesota goaltender Devan Dubnyk making 18 saves. Dubnyk has started all 17 games since joining the Wild in mid-January.

Next up for the Wild; tomorrow night against the Edmonton Oilers at 7 PM at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul (Radio 1240 WJON, TV: Fox Sports North).
