The Minnesota Wild (44-26-7) fell to the visiting New York Rangers (49-21-7) 3-2 last night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. New York took a 2-0 lead before the Wild mounted a too-little-too-late comeback.

The Wild are five points ahead of the Winnipeg Jets and Los Angeles Kings for the first wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference; the Kings hold the second wild card.

Next up for the Wild; Saturday night against the Detroit Red Wings at 6 PM at the Xcel Energy Center (Radio: WJON, TV: Fox Sports North).

Go Wild!
