The Minnesota Wild got a goal late in the third period to send the game to overtime, but fell by a final score of 3-2 after a shootout in Chicago Thursday night. The Blackhawks won the shootout 1-0.

Charlie Coyle gave the Wild a 1-0 lead late in the first period with his 11th goal of the season, assisted by defensemen Jared Spurgeon and Ryan Suter.

Ben Smith tied the game for Chicago in the second period just 2:29 in to the second frame.

Bryan Bickell scored for the Blackhawks early in the third period to give Chicago a 2-1 lead, but Erik Haula's fourth goal of the season with under two minutes remaining in regulation sent the game to overtime, and eventually the shootout.
