When Are The Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies?

The opening ceremonies for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia are Friday night at 6:30 pm CT on NBC (KARE-11). Coverage of the Olympics will be spread across the NBC family of networks: NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, and USA.

Some events will actually start the day before the opening ceremonies, and coverage of some snowboarding, skiing, and figure skating will be seen Thursday night on NBC.
