My mom is constantly telling me to start saving for retirement because it'll come faster than I think. She's always lending me great financial advice in hopes that I'll take it. But, for some reason, my love for clothes, shoes and accessories prevails. Plus, my generation has always been told that we'll never be able to retire because of the huge national debt.

Even thought I know it's great advice, there's a little voice inside of me that says it'll all figure itself out eventually, and economists are probably right. I know that I'll probably be kicking myself someday for not listening to her.

This got me to thinking that we have all probably received advice great advice that we have never taken. Whether that's healthy eating advice, financial advice, relationship advice--you name it. What great piece of advice have you been given that you've never taken?
