It seems that there are many varying opinion on what should be served on your Thanksgiving Table. I was asking my co workers what type of pies I should bring to our gathering...clearly there were differences in opinion.  Since asking that question, I've found that yes indeed...we have some difference of opinions on what will be served as our family traditions.

TURKEY OR HAM?

We've had a tendency to serve both? But...Turkey rules at Thanksgiving.

MASHED POTATOES OR SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE?

Again, I've lived in the south where we served both; but here in Minnesota, Sweet Potato Casserole is never on our table.

GRAVY OR CRANBERRY SAUCE?

We serve both.  I didn't even think they should be in the same category. I notice that mostly the cranberry sauce is eaten by the older adults, but it doesn't replace the gravy.

GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE OR GREEN BEANS

Although I would take green beans over casserole any day, majority at our house says green been casserole; I just never could get into it. I like my green beans served by themselves.

CORNBREAD OR CORN ON THE COB?

I'd take cornbread; but again; neither one of these make it to our Thanksgiving table.

DRESSING OR MAC N CHEESE?

We serve both. Kids like the mac n cheese....adults like dressing.

WHAT KIND OF PIE DO YOU SERVE?

The most popular was apple; but at our house, we do a variety; Usually pumpkin pie rules the roost, but we'll have lots of other varieties. The most popular were apple, pumpkin and Pecan pie. Where is the lemon meringue? Where is the coconut creme?
