When it comes to Thanksgiving dinner, my family doesn't stray from tradition.

We are very much a turkey, mashed potato, stuffing, cranberry and pumpkin pie family. There's rolls, sweet potatoes and green bean casserole too!  If you can't tell, we just are not good at deviating.

Some families have totally different traditions when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner.  I know lasagna is popular among some families and I read this morning that Justin Moore fries up catfish.  There's also something out there called a turducken -- a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey.  I'm a bit fascinated by that except for the duck, but I'd definitely give it a whirl.

I want to spice things up this Thanksgiving and try something new, preferably a side dish. I'm looking for something that's not too crazy, but isn't normally served with a traditional dinner.  I'll take any suggestions you have!
