Now that it's getting cooler out and the fall colors will be making an appearance, it's time to do some real exploring.  I just need a good recommendation on where to go.

I love checking out local parks this time of year.  It's nice and cool, plus it's fun to see everything changing.  I've been through many of the parks in Monticello but not I'm on the lookout for some place new.

Lake Maria State Park is just a few miles from my house and I've gone there many times. There's no doubt it's beautiful and there are so many different activities within to take part in.  It's perfect.

Just down the road is Harry Larson Memorial Forest.  I've been in there a few times as well, including the time I went with my family and my dad told me to watch out for this scary guy they called Hook Man.  Yeah, I was terrified.  Now that I know Hook Man doesn't exist, this is another gorgeous park to hike through.  It's very quiet, peaceful and just an all around pleasant place to visit.

There are several other parks I've visited but I would say these two are favorites.  Now, I want to see something completely different.  Do you have any suggestions on parks I should check out?
