I love fall because it means it's time to head out to the apple orchards.  I remember going to several different ones when I was a kid -- we'd get apples, caramel and a whole variety of jams.

I still love going and yesterday I ventured out to one not far from my home.  Woods' Edge Apples, located just off Highway 25 in Buffalo, is a smaller orchard, carrying several different types of apples.

When we got there yesterday, it was extremely crowded for a Sunday afternoon but I realized this is something families still do together.  It was a gorgeous day, 4-H was there with some animals and people had the opportunity to pick their own apples.

I didn't go out and pick apples because I was too busy wandering their little gift shop. It's fun to check out all the different products they have -- handmade crafts, cookbooks, fudge, older looking pictures and even some furniture pieces.

This is definitely one of the more unique orchards I have been to.  It's a fun place with a lot of unique gift ideas.  The apples are delicious -- I stocked up on Sweet Sixteens and Honey Crisps -- and it's practically in our backyard.  I would highly recommend checking this place out this fall!
