WE Fest Keeps Minnesota State Patrol Busy

Several underage adults with cases of beer on their laps and at their feet were among the hundreds of motorists stopped by troopers over the weekend near WE Fest in Detroit Lakes.

There were 814 traffic stops, 10 arrested for DWI and 212 speeding tickets issued but no serious or fatal crashes in or around Detroit Lakes during the week-long WE Fest event.

A group of seven troopers teamed up with local law enforcement to patrol areas around the event, including campgrounds with thousands of people.
