WAITE PARK -- Police responded to reports of creepy clowns in one Waite Park neighborhood Wednesday night.

The incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of 6th Avenue North.

Waite Park Police Chief Dave Bentrud says they received a call of people dressed as clowns were banging on vehicles in the area.

When officers arrived they were unable to find anyone dressed as clowns.

Police are reminding you that anyone who hides their identity could be charged with a misdemeanor under Minnesota Statute.
