Pickle Ball Open House

If you've ever wanted to learn how to play pickle ball, you're in luck! Today, you can head to the River's Edge Pickle Ball Court and learn the rules of the game at 6:30 p.m. Participants have a chance to win a free pickle ball paddle.

Liberty Timber Derrick Demonstrations

This is definitely a sight worth seeing! Liberty Derrick acts as a giant crane. It's over 100 years old and will lifting a giant block of granite in Quarry Park today. If you plan on attending, parking fees will be waved for the day!

Medallion Hunt

Participants will be searching for a medallion from now until it’s found. Clues are posted everyday on the city’s website, at city hall and on the Waite Park TV channel 181. The winner will receive their prize on Saturday, June 10 in Waite Park Community Park. Today’s clue is;

Geocaching contest

The geocaching contest continues today through Friday throughout the City of Waite Park. If you’ve never tried geocaching before, it’s essentially a GPS game of hide and seek! Participants will use their GPS to locate containers called “geocaches”. Once you locate the “geocache” you’ll open it and record the code located inside. The code will correspond with a square on your game card, which you can pick up at City Hall. The goal is to find as many as you can before Friday at 5 p.m. You’re asked to bring your completed cards to Waite Park Community Park on Friday between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to claim your prize. You’ll also be entered into a drawing to win a large prize on Saturday, June 10.
