Nine artists will release new albums in May of 2016. Which project are The Boot's readers most looking forward to?

May starts off big, with four new releases on the first Friday of the month (May 6). On that day, Cole Swindell will share his sophomore album, You Should Be Here, and Keith Urban's new disc, Ripcord, will make its debut. Additionally, Cyndi Lauper's record of classic country covers, Detour, will hit the shelves, and Mary Chapin Carpenter will release The Things That We Are Made Of.

The following week, on May 13, Jennifer Nettles' second solo album, Playing With Fire, is set for release, as is Sammy Kershaw's The Blues Got Me. On May 20, Blake Shelton's highly anticipated new disc, If I'm Honest, will come out, as will a new Highwaymen project, The Highwaymen Live: American Outlaws. Rounding out the month, on May 27, is Dierks Bentley's Black.
