The Minnesota Vikings improved to 3-0 on the preseason with a 23-10 win over the San Diego Chargers in their first game at the brand new U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. The crowd of 66,134 enjoyed the win in the new building -- powered by a nice first half performance by Teddy Bridgewater.

Bridgewater played the first half, completing 12 of 16 attempts for 161 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon rushed eight times for 56 yards. Adrian Peterson did not play for the third straight preseason game, and is not expected to see action in the fourth and final tune up game.

The Vikings defense forced four San Diego turnovers including a Harrison Smith interception in the first half.

The Minnesota Vikings improve to 11-1 in preseason games under head coach Mike Zimmer.

Minnesota's final preseason game is this Thursday night against the L.A. Rams at U.S Bank Stadium -- before the regular season opener on Sunday, September 11th at Tennessee.
