The Minnesota Vikings made a late trade with the New England Patriots to add a third pick in the first round of the NFL Draft Thursday night. Minnesota gave New England their 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th round picks for the Patriots first-rounder.

With the television broadcast declaring Manti Te'o the reason the Vikings made the trade, Minnesota instead chose Tennessee wideout Cordarrell Patterson with the 29th overall pick.

Patterson had 46 catches for 778 yards and five touchdowns in 2012. He stands 6'1" and weighs 216 lbs while running a 4.48 40-yard dash.
