The Minnesota Vikings have announced that Blair Walsh has been released by the team. Walsh missed his league-leading fourth extra point of the season in Sunday's loss at Washington. The Vikings have not said who his replacement will be.

Walsh, a sixth-round draft pack in 2012, had made 12 of 16 field goals this season, and made 133 of 158 (84.2 percent) of his field goals during his time in Minnesota with a career-long of 56 yards.

The team has worked out several free agent kickers over the past week.
