The Minnesota Vikings (5-4) looked bad for the fourth straight week, this time falling to the Washington Redskins (5-3-1) 26-20 today in the nation's capital. Vikings kicker Blair Walsh missed yet another extra point in today's loss.

The Walsh thing is beyond ridiculous. He's now missed four extra points this season (most in the NFL). Earlier in the week the Vikings worked out five free agent kickers before Mike Zimmer announced they'd stick with Walsh. Wonder if he feels the same today?

In all fairness, the Vikings have much bigger fish to fry.

Elsewhere in the NFC North, the Packers were throttled by the Titans 44-25 while the Lions were enjoying their bye week. The Bears lost to the Buccaneers 36-10.

NFC North Standings

  1. Detroit Lions  (5-4)
  2. Minnesota Vikings  (5-4)
  3. Green Bay Packers (4-5)
  4. Chicago Bears  (2-7)

Next Sunday the Vikings host the Arizona Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Skol Vikings!
