The Minnesota Vikings (10-5) topped the visiting New York Giants (6-9) 49-17 tonight at a chilly TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The win clinched a spot in the playoffs for the Vikes with a date against the Packers (10-5) next Sunday night in Green Bay with the NFC North Championship at stake.

Teddy Bridgewater completed 15 of 25 for 168 yards (and no interceptions), including a 28-yard TD toss to Kyle Rudolph in the first quarter. Adrian Peterson regained the NFL rushing lead carrying the ball 22 times for 104 yards and a touchdown. Darius Wright was Minnesota's leading receiver with 3 catches for 57 yards. Jerick McKinnon rushed for a pair of touchdowns, including a 68-yard score in the 4th. Blair Walsh hit five fields goals (two of 50+ yards), but missed an extra point.

The defense sacked Eli Manning four times, and picked him off three times -- including a pick-six by Harrison Smith in the second quarter.

The Vikings are now tied with Green Bay at 10-5 after the Packers fell to the Arizona Cardinals (13-2) 38-8 this afternoon in Phoenix -- setting up next Sunday's final week matchup for the NFC North Championship between the Vikings and Packers at 7:30 PM at Lambeau Field. The game had originally been scheduled for Noon, but was picked up by NBC as their Week 17 Sunday night game.
