The Minnesota Vikings have announced that linebacker Chad Greenway will officially retire from the NFL tomorrow. Greenway has worn the number 52 for the team for eleven seasons, since being picked in the first round out of the University of Iowa in 2006.

Greenway spent his entire career with Minnesota, where his 1,334 tackles puts him fourth on the all-time Vikings list. He also earned Pro Bowl honors in 2011 and 2012. The announcement is expected to take place tomorrow (3/7) morning at the Vikings headquarters at 11 AM.

In addition to being great on the field, Greenway led the way off the field as well -- being named the Vikings Community Man of the Year in 2011, and from 2014 to 2016.

According to the Vikings, Greenway and his wife plan to live in the Twin Cities and raise their kids here.
