Vikings Beat 49ers to Open Season With Win
The Minnesota Vikings (1-0) beat the San Francisco 49ers (0-1) 24-16 today at U.S. Bank Stadium Minneapolis to open the 2018-19 season with a win.
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 20 of 36 for 244 yards and two touchdowns, one to Stephon Diggs and another to Kyle Rudolph. Keenum's favorite target today was Adam Thielen who had 6 catches for 102 yards. Latavuis Murray was Minnesota's leading rusher with 11 carries for 72 yards.
Today's game also marked the return of Vikings running back Delvin Cook, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in week four last season, Cook finished today's game with 16 carries for 40 yards -- and also had 6 receptions for 55 yards.
