Vikings Among Early Favorites for 2018 Super Bowl (Stop Laughing, I’m Serious)

The Super Bowl returns to Minneapolis in 2018 -- for the first time since it was played in the Metrodome in 1992. It may feel like a (gigantic) stretch to talk about the Vikings playing for the title in Super Bowl 52, but oddsmakers are more optimistic.

SportInsights.com has the Vikings listed as the #5 favorite in the NFC to reach the Super Bowl next season -- behind only the Cowboys, Packers, Seahawks, and Panthers.

On one hand (even though I'm a diehard, purple blooded Vikings fan) I can't stop laughing at the absurdity of this.

On the other hand -- maybe 50+ years of suffering was just building up to the scenario of our beloved Vikings winning it all on their home turf at U.S. Bank Stadium.

I think I'm going to have to go with the absurdity thing for now. :)
