‘USA Today’ Readers Vote Minnesota State Fair Best in the Nation

We already knew the Minnesota State Fair was awesome, but this clinches it!

According to an article from the Star Tribune, USA Today has been asking readers to vote which state fair is the best in the nation and Minnesota has taken the top spot.  It's already been voted the largest based on high attendance numbers.

Some of the factors taken in to account were weirdest foods, entertainment and thrill rides. It's practically a holiday for us Minnesotans when they announce the new foods at the fair each year.  We definitely get some awesome shows at the Grandstand...um hello? can we say Carrie Underwood and Def Leppard! And who doesn't love the ejection seat???

They also looked at things such as exhibits and our famous butter sculptures.  According to the same article we got bonus points for our 'Minnesota Nice!'

Most of the other fairs in the top ten were along the coasts, however Iowa and Indiana made the list as well.
