I'm extremely guilty of adding in phrases or words to a sentence that adds nothing to the meaning. I like to think that it adds an element of character to the conversation. I guess there are people who think differently. Here are the ten most common phrases and words that we use in our everyday life that are completely meaningless.

10.   "You know what I mean."  as in "I'm hungry, you know what I mean?"

9.  "Apparently."  as in "apparently her dress is black and gold."

8.  "Of course."  as in "Of course, you're invited."

7.  "Amazing." as in "I had an amazing piece of chocolate cake today."

6.  "And stuff like that." as in "Today I did laundry and stuff like that."

5.  "I know, right?"  as in "Billy Currington is so hot, I know, right?"

4.  "Actually." as in "Actually, it's supposed to rain today."

3.  "I mean."  as in "I mean, you can go with us if you want to."

2.  "You know." as in "I love pizza, you know."

1.  "Like."  "Like, is that Billy Currington's new girlfriend?"

So, now I challenge you to use all of these phrases into a "sentence" and by that I mean paragraph.

Here's my best attempt:

Today I did laundry and stuff like that. I'm hungry, you know what I mean? Later, we're meeting up with Billy Currington. Of Course you're invited to come with us. I mean you can go with us if you want to. Billy Currington is so hot, I know, right? Like, does he have a new girlfriend?" Apparently her dress is black and gold. I had an amazing piece of chocolate cake today, you know? Actually, I'm staying home because it's going to rain today.

LOL it's not as easy as it looks. I dare you to give this a try.
