Twins Win Again, Top Rays 11-5 Friday Night
The Minnesota Twins (43-49) have now won eight of the last nine games following an 11-8 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Friday night at Target Field.
Jake Cave had three hits and a pair of RBIs, Robbie Grossman added three hits, and Joe Mauer homered and drove in four runs to help power the Minnesota offense to the win.
Minnesota starter Jake Odorizzi pitched against his former team for the first time, and had a rough go -- giving up six runs in just 4¹⁄3 innings. Trevor Hildenberger pick up the win in relief of starter Jake Odorizzi.
