The Twins have reportedly traded starting pitcher Kevin Slowey to the Colorado Rockies for a player to be named later.  The Twins had been interested in backup outfielder Seth Smith with the Rockies but it’s unclear whether he’d be involved in the deal.  Slowey was 0-8 in 8 starts in 2011 but 29-39 with a 4.66 ERA in his career.

The Twins also offered a 3-year $25 Million contract to outfielder/first baseman Michael Cuddyer.  Cuddyer batted .284 with 20 homeruns and 70 RBIs in 2011 with the Twins.
