The Minnesota Twins (58-63) beat the Detroit Tigers 5-4 Friday night at Target Field with the help of a Joe Mauer three-run homer in the seventh inning.

Trailing 3-0 in the sixth, Minnesota's Eddie Rosario hit a solo home run to get the Twins on the board. With one out in the seventh, Tyler Austin matched Rosario with a solo shot of his own bringing the Twins to within 3-2. Then with two runners on, Maurer homered giving the Twins a 5-3 lead.

Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson pitched seven complete innings, giving up three runs on eight hits and five strikeouts. Moya, Magill, and Rogers combines in relief for the Twins.
