The Twins beat the Cleveland Indians 4-3 Monday night at Target Field. Josh Willingham’s tie breaking home run in the bottom of the eighth inning led the Twins to victory.

Kurt Suzuki led the Minnesota offense with three hits and two runs batted in, and Willingham was 2-3 with two runs scored. Kris Johnson took a no-decision in his third start for the Twins, lasting five innings while allowing two runs on five hits and three walks.

The Twins are now 44-53 on the season and trail Detroit by 11 games in the American League’s Central Division.

Minnesota hosts Cleveland again tonight with Danny Salazar getting the start for the Indians against Minnesota’s Yohan Pino. First pitch on WJON is scheduled for 7:10.
