MINNEAPOLIS - Kevin Correa pitched seven strong innings and the Twins took advantage of a huge Kansas City error, sweeping the Royals with a 4-3 win.

Both Kevin Correa and Jason Vargas didn't allow any runs through the first six innings. Josmil Pinto broke the scoreless tie with a two-run bomb in the seventh.

The Royals responded and scored three runs in the top of the eighth. The Twins would take advantage of a huge error to retake the lead in the bottom of the inning when pitcher Wade Davis made a throwing error past home plate, allowing two runs to score.

Glen Perkins slammed the door on Kansas City in the ninth for his third save this year.

The Twins are now 6-6 this season. They'll have an off-day before starting a three game series at home on Tuesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays.
