The Minnesota Twins (1-4) squandered a 4-0 lead, eventually losing to the Chicago White Sox (1-4) 5-4 this afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field. The rubber game of the series is set for Sunday afternoon in Chicago.

Chris Herrmann drove in the Twins' first run of the game on his first career triple in the second inning. Herrmann returned to the Twins' lineup after suffering a cut above his nose when a foul tip hit his catcher's mask on Thursday against the Tigers.

Minnesota's Mike Pelfrey gave up leadoff home runs in the second and fourth innings. Pelfrey allowed just 13 home runs -- tying the second-lowest total in the American League -- in 152 2/3 innings in 2013. He missed most of 2014 after undergoing elbow surgery on June 10.

Next up for the Twins; tomorrow afternoon in Chicago against the White Sox at 1:10 PM (Radio: 1240 WJON, TV: Fox Sports North).

Go Twins!
