The Minnesota Twins (45-53) opened their three-game series against the Blue Jays with an 8-3 win Monday night in Toronto.

Logan Morrison homered in the third inning, and Max Kepler homered in the fifth to help end Minnesota's 3-game losing streak that had started following the all star break. Kepler also added a spectacular jumping catch in the third inning.

Joe Mauer and Mitch Garver each had three hits, adding to Minnesota's total of 13. Morrison has three RBI.

Twins starter Adalberto Mejia pitched into the fifth inning, giving up one earned run on eight hits, two walks, and three strikeouts.
