The 2016 edition of the Minnesota Twins being their regular season on the road this afternoon in Baltimore. The Twins finished last season with an 83-79 record, and were in the Wild Card chase to the bitter end -- coming up just short. What will 2016 have in store?

Last year's vast improvement, combined with exciting, young players on the roster this year give me reason to be optimistic. However, with a young team comes uncertainty -- and we won't know exactly what we've got until the new season begins playing out. As always, pitching will play a major role in determining which direction it takes.

The first pitch against the Orioles is scheduled for 1:05 PM CT at Camden Yards, and can be heard on AM 1240 WJON, and seen on Fox Sports North.

The Twins home opener is one week from today against the Chicago White Sox at 3:10 PM at Target Field.

Go Twins! (See ya at the ballpark next week.)
