Twins Interested in Freddy Garcia

The Twins are reportedly interested in free agent starting pitcher Freddy Garcia.  The 36-year old Garcia pitched 30 games for the Yankees in 2012 including 17 starts.  He was 7-6 with a 5.20 ERA for New York.  The Reds and Rockies are also pursuing Garcia.

The Twins signed righthanded starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey earlier this week to a 1-year $4 Million contract.  The Twins have also shown interest in lefthander Joe Saunders and righthander Brett Myers.
