The Twins fell to the White Sox by a 4-2 final score Tuesday night at Target Field in a back and forth game. Chicago scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning to secure the victory.

Twins starter Kevin Correia gave up back to back home runs in the top of the second inning to Adam Dunn and Dayan Viciedo to put Minnesota in a 2-0 hole.

Oswaldo Arcia singled through the right side to score Justin Morneau in the bottom of the fifth to cut the Twins deficit to 2-1. Trevor Plouffe's RBI single to score Josh Willingham tied the game in the seventh inning.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire decided to let his starter remain in the game in the top of the eighth inning, and the move ended up backfiring. Corriea gave up back to back doubles to start the inning to give the Sox a 3-2 lead, then reliever Casey Fien allowed Chicago's fourth run on an Alexi Ramirez base hit.

The Twins fall back to .500 with the loss at 18-18 and will close out their three game series with Chicago Wednesday afternoon at Target Field. Dylan Axelrod is scheduled to start for the Sox opposite the Twins' Mike Pelfrey.
