The Minnesota Twins (63-74) lost to the Astros in the first game of their series 4-1 Sunday afternoon at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

Houston got off to a quick start against Minnesota's Kyle Gibson, scoring one in the first and two more in the second for an early 3-0 lead. The Astros would go up 4-0, adding another fun in the fourth.

Gibson (7-11) would go on to complete seven innings, giving up the four runs on 4 hits and 1 walk -- with 5 strikeouts. Matt Magill came in to retire the side in the eighth inning.

The Twins had chances, leaving the bases loaded in the first and ninth innings. The lone Minnesota run came in the sixth inning.
