It's official, the Minnesota Twins (83-78) have been eliminated from postseason contention with today's 5-1 loss to the Kansas City Royals (94-67) at Target Field. The Twins and Royals will play their final regular season game tomorrow afternoon at 2:10 in Minneapolis.

It sucks that they came up just short — but the bigger picture is that this team far exceeded my expectations for 2015. They made it fun, interesting, and competitive from wire to wire (and that’s a hell of a lot more that we’ve been able to say for quite a while).

Thanks for getting me to football & hockey season Twinkies. See you at the home opener in April.
