Twins Continue Hot Streak With 9-3 Win Over Cleveland (WTF?)

Are you kidding me? Where did these guys come from? The Twins are a team that the baseball smarties (and myself, admittedly not a baseball smarty) expected less than nothing from this season. I know we're only 30 games into the season, but these guys are still blowing my mind.

Torii Hunter went 4 for 4 including a home run, and starter Mike Pelfrey improved to 3-0 as the Minnesota Twins beat Cleveland 9-3 tonight, and have now won eight of their last nine games. Hunter had the opportunity for a 5-hit game, but had to settle for a 4-pitch walk in the ninth.

How many years (5 or 6?) has it been since the Twins won 8 of 9? They've averaged 7.5 runs per game during that stretch. Hard to believe for a team that started 1-6, outscored 45-16 during those seven games.

I won't lie, I didn't expect the Twins to help ease my Minnesota Wild disappointment. They are now 17-13; just 2 games behind the first place Kansas City Royals in the AL Central. I friggin' love it!
