Joe Mauer had a second straight four-hit night for the Twins in their 8-6 win over the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday night. Mauer is 8-10 during the series with the Angels.

The Twins took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning but gave all three runs back in the top of the third inning.

After the Angels tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the fourth inning, the Twins rattled off four unanswered runs beginning with a Justin Morneau RBI single to score Brian Dozier in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Mike Pelfrey earned the win despite a shaky five inning body of work in which he allowed four runs on seven hits. Anthony Swarzak was the pitching hero for Minnesota in the win, allowing no runs in three innings of work.

The Twins and Angels will close out their series Wednesday night at Target Field, with Vance Worley taking the ball for the Twins.
