Here's a good example of why you tell the truth to an officer when you get pulled over. In this speeding student's case, it solved an issue he was having with his wardrobe.

A Menomonie, Wisconsin police officer pulled over a student at the University of Wisconsin-Stout for speeding as he pulled into the school's parking lot. A common question was asked about why he was in such a hurry, and the student told the officer the truth - that he was late for a presentation and hurrying to try to find a friend who could tie it for him.

The officer, obviously having a good day, decided that instead of giving a speeding ticket and making the rest of the student's day a bad one...he tied his necktie and sent him to class with only a warning!

The act was caught on the police dash cam and the Menomonie police department just had to post the video for the world to see. Enjoy the video!
