If you're planning on going to the Twin Cities for anything today, I'd reconsider. If you work in the Twin Cities, I'd take the day off. Here's why--traffic will be a nightmare and the city will be a zoo!

Minnesota sports fans have more than a few options for entertainment tonight. The Twins will hopefully end their losing streak when they play at Target Field tonight. The Vikings last preseason game is at U.S. Bank Stadium this evening, the Minnesota Gophers football team kicks off their season at TCF Bank Stadium tonight and minor-league Saint Paul Saints have a game at CHS Field.

And, that doesn't include the non-sporting events happening in the cities. The Minnesota State Fair is well underway drawing in a crowd of over 100,000 people per day AND it's move-in weekend for the University of Minnesota! Seriously, there's a ton of stuff going on and it would be smart to avoid that area if you can! If it's unavoidable, I'd take tomorrow off of work because you might still be stuck in traffic.

If you're looking for a fun sporting event to go to tonight, check out the St. Cloud State University football team! The Huskies open their season at home tonight--and I already know there will be way less traffic!
