Top Five Things to Look Forward to at Your Thanksgiving Get Together

Thanksgiving is just 6 days away, not that I'm counting, and there's so many things to look forward to at the family get together!

Next Thursday can't get here fast enough! Quite frankly, I'm surprised my dreams have been taken over by turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.  Anyway, we normally go to my uncle's house and the gathering can be rather entertaining! Here's a few things I'm looking forward to:

Family Bickering

It happens at every family gathering and really nothing says love or being thankful like arguing with the family on Thanksgiving!

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Who doesn't love parades? Especially huge ones like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! Plus, if you check out this year's, you'll see Jennifer Nettles and Jake Owen!

Great Food

This is the one day where it's perfectly acceptable to load up on delicious food -- turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and pumpkin pie -- and eat until you can't possibly swallow another bite. Take advantage, you'll walk it off with your Black Friday Shopping!

Football

It's not really my thing, but there's some definite die hard football fans in our family and watching football is as much of a tradition as eating turkey!

Long Nap

What else are you supposed to do after you eat so much you can barely move? Just make sure you're in a comfortable spot and you have a warm blanket!
