2015 has been one of the most interesting years of my entire life.  There has been some loss, some lessons learned and some all around crazy moments!  I would have to say I've never been more thankful for certain things than I am this year.

I have so much to be thankful for this year but I think I've narrowed down my top five things.

House Fire

No, I'm not thankful for my burning down this year but I am extremely thankful that my entire family got out safely. It's a strange feeling to know that if a few more minutes had gone by, I might not be sitting counting my blessings. While it's tragic and life altering, it could have been far worse and I'm thankful every single day that it wasn't.

If I've learned one thing at all this year, it's that there are still good people out there. So often we hear negative things but so many people I know, and some that I don't, offered to help my family after our home burned down in February. Not to be dramatic, but the entire experience restored my faith in humanity. It's a great reminder to help others and pay it forward when you can.

This is definitely a double edged sword -- I love projects but all this crafting can get expensive! Either way, it's a fun new hobby to have and I've found things to make that are awesome for decorating the new house!

A Job That Isn't Really Like a Job

Where else can you craft and nap under the desk at work? So I've never napped under the desk here but this is a fun job and it's a fun place to work. We get along, we pick on each other and I never know what to expect when I come in each day. Especially with Pete, Cindy, Ashli and I really need to keep an eye on that one! Plus, we have awesome listeners who entertain me every day!

Pete Wasn't Really Missing

Earlier this year, there was a little miscommunication (or maybe lack of communication) and we thought that Pete was missing. Like Cindy, Ashli and I were in a panic because we couldn't get a hold of him and thought something horrible happened. It turns out he just didn't have his phone on him and everything was fine. The good thing is if Pete decides to fire the three of us, we just might have successful detective careers!  By the way, once we figured out he was fine, we made a 'Lost Pete' poster as a joke -- it's pretty good!

What are you thankful for this holiday season?
